This is a new role reporting into the Head of Communities within our Development and Sales Division. You will be focussed on leading the successful provision and delivery of resident liaison, community, rehousing and regeneration activities. The role will be responsible for leading a sub team of 5-6 communities' coordinators and a communities' manager. You will provide visible best practice leadership for community-based regeneration, development and remediation projects.
There will be a specific focus over the next 2 years to lead a resident liaison site-based programme of temporary re-housing in Waltham Forest, which is currently underway. You will ensure are customers' needs are put first, whilst meeting the Group's wider financial and operational requirements.
The post holder will also have a passion of delivering placemaking and socio-economic based regeneration activities to support and enhance our communities. Your teams' activities will support relevant statutory formal consultation for regeneration and our growth pipeline opportunities. You will be able to actively problem solve and provide on the ground solutions if required.
Your ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders will enable you to make the best use of L&Q resources and support the wider group strategy. The successful candidate will manage, inspire and motivate the sub team, collaborate with their counter-part - the Senior Communities Manager based in West London and be able to deputise for the Head of Communities when required.
Essential skills & Knowledge - Proven track record of managing the delivery of regeneration and community development or investment activities - from inception to completion - on new build, regeneration, redevelopment or remediation projects.
- You will be an experienced people manager and be able to demonstrable experience of effectively managing site-based and remote staff on challenging projects in order to contribute positively to high performance
- You will have knowledge of leading effective communications associated with regeneration, remediation or development-based projects.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to source and present innovative solutions
- Knowledge and experience of relevant legislation, tenancies and licences impacting rehousing, including Compulsory Purchase Orders.
- Strong track record of using project programme software, including developing complex programmes
- Demonstrable stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with a wider range of stakeholders
